Secrets of Night
I painted two scenes of night on an old book (front and back). The scene on the left depicts a lighthouse on a rocky shore. To me this symbolizes the light in every darkness. The "light" is always there, you just need to find it. The second picture is an African tree sprouting out of the ground. This shows the hidden beauty of the earth that most people don't see. There are many ways to paint a tree but by painting it in an exotic way, its beauty is fully shown. Both of these paintings reveal hidden secrets and beauty of the night and how I picture the night.
Winter Night at the Cabin
This is a painting of a winter scene at night. I chose to paint a dream for my sketchbook project. I love winter and I have always dreamed of moving to a place up north that gets lots of snow. Something about the freshly fallen snow makes me happy. I dream that I can live in a cozy cabin and look outside my window to see the mountains covered with a blanket of snow and the stars shining brightly in the sky.
Green Vase
For this sketchbook project, I painted on a 3D object. I made a unique vase out of clay and then painted it. I chose shades of greens and blues because those are my favorite colors. I also put a sparkly glittered paint on the inside. I love the design I made into the vase. it reminds me of tree bark. This was a fun project to make and paint.
Paint to Music
For the paint to music project, I chose the song"Defying Gravity" from the musical Wicked. Wicked is my favorite musical. I love "Defying Gravity" because it is a really powerful song. I also like to tune of the music. In the painting, I painted different items from the musical itself. I didn't put much detail because i still wanted to apinting to look abstract. Everything in the painting if from a special part in the musical.
